Old Gong Mei (2012) 貢眉老白茶

Our Gong Mei is from Fuding, Fujian, China which was harvested in 2012 and aged for a decade. There is a saying in Chinese in regards to aging white teas: First Year it’s Tea, In the Third Year it’s Medicine, after Seven Years it’s Treasure! Gong Mei is considered to be 3rd grade Fuding White Tea, with strong notes of sweet potato and red date, sharing character with both Bai Mu Dan (White Peony) and Shou Mei (Longevity Eyebrow).

Our Gong Mei is from Fuding, Fujian, China which was harvested in 2012 and aged for a decade. There is a saying in Chinese in regards to aging white teas: First Year it’s Tea, In the Third Year it’s Medicine, after Seven Years it’s Treasure! Gong Mei is considered to be 3rd grade Fuding White Tea, with strong notes of sweet potato and red date, sharing character with both Bai Mu Dan (White Peony) and Shou Mei (Longevity Eyebrow).

The gradings of Fuding white tea are:  
1st Grade – Bai Hao Yinzhen (Silver Needles)
2nd Grade – Bai Mu Dan (White Peony)
3rd Grade – Gong Mei 
4th grade – Shou Mei (Longevity Eyebrow)
 
我們的貢眉老白茶來自中國福建福鼎,採摘於2012年,已陳存多年,俗話有稱:一年茶、三年藥、七年寶。貢眉被認爲是三等福鼎白茶,入口甘甜,細品能嘗出紅棗及甜番薯等不同層次的滋味,口感醇滑,與白牡丹和壽眉有著相似特性。 福鼎白茶有四個等級,分別是:白毫銀針、白牡丹、貢眉和壽眉。
