About

Yunnan Gushu Sundried Red | 雲南古樹曬紅

This exceptional Yunnan Gushu Sundried Red (Shai Hong or Sun-dried Black Tea) is harvested from 100 – 300‑year‑old ancient tea trees in Lincang, Yunnan, traditionally reserved for producing high‑grade Puerh tea. Growing high in the mountains without chemical fertilizers, these ancient trees yield leaves that develop slowly and densely, resulting in tea leaves exceptionally rich in polyphenols and minerals. The infusion is thick, complex, and long‑lasting — with a strong aftertaste that lingers beautifully.

Unlike most modern black teas that are oven‑baked for speed, this tea is gently sun‑dried. The natural sunlight drying process preserves active enzymes and microorganisms, allowing the tea to continue aging and transforming over time, much like raw puerh. Each cup reveals a malty aroma, notes of sweet raisins and honey, and the deep, mellow body reminiscent of aged raw puerh. With proper storage, its flavor continues to evolve gracefully, making it a collectible black tea for seasoned tea drinkers and connoisseurs.
