About

Old Gong Mei | 貢眉老白茶

Sourced from Fuding, Fujian, our aged Old Gong Mei white tea embodies the cherished Chinese saying, “One Year Tea, Three Years Medicine, Seven Years Treasure.” Having been patiently aged for over a decade, it has completed this remarkable transformation from a fresh leaf into a truly precious treasure. Occupying the sweet spot between the delicate Bai Mu Dan (White Peony) and the robust Shou Mei, Gong Mei is the third grade, often showing more leaf and a touch more oxidation, making it a balanced and rewarding choice for aging.

A decade of careful storage has worked its magic, deepening its complexity and mellowing its character into a comforting richness. Our aged Old Gong Mei now brews a beautiful copper-amber liquor with a rich tapestry of layered notes: baked sweet potato, red jujube (dates), dried apricot, honeyed grain, and a soft woody undertone. The mouthfeel is round, creamy, and mellow, gliding across the palate with a gentle, lingering sweetness that showcases the wisdom of traditional white tea aging.
