Jin Jun Mei (Golden Eyebrow) 金駿眉

Jin Jun Mei black tea, also known as ‘Golden Eyebrows’ is originated from Tong Mu Guan Village in the Wuyi Mountain region in Fujian China, where also the famous Lapsang Souchong is produced. Jin Jun Mei tea is often considered the luxury version of lapsang souchong, made from pure buds full of golden hairy fuzz. This tea is malty and honey-sweet, with notes of cocoa and caramel, which linger in the mouth and throat after drinking with a viscous thickness.

Jin Jun Mei black tea, also known as ‘Golden Eyebrows’ is originated from Tong Mu Guan Village in the Wuyi Mountain region in Fujian China, where also the famous Lapsang Souchong is produced. All teas from this region enjoy superior natural conditions, with a long tradition of tea craft combined with unique soil and growing conditions giving this black tea a special taste. Jin Jun Mei tea is often considered the luxury version of Lapsang Souchong, which is made from pure buds full of golden hairy fuzz, with a more pronounced honey flavour, and picked more than 1500 meters above sea level. The tea is processed using a method similar to that used to produce Lapsang Souchong, but without smoke braising and the leaves consist of more buds. Jin Jun Mei is a very recently developed tea that has quickly gained huge popularity. This tea is malty and honey-sweet, with notes of cocoa and caramel, which linger in the mouth and throat after drinking with a viscous thickness.
