Introduction

Our Introduction to Tea Workshop offers the opportunity to brew and taste tea. During the activity, you will personally brew tea and explore the flavors and nuances of different types of tea. Through the process of brewing and tasting, you will learn how to use a traditional gaiwan to brew tea, gain a deeper understanding of the characteristics and flavors of tea, and improve your tea-tasting skills. This will help you delve deeper into tea culture while relaxing and enjoying the pleasure of tea appreciation!

Workshop Details

Our Tea Art Experience Workshop is led by professional tea masters, and you will learn the following:

  • Differentiating the 6 Major Tea Categories | Introduction to Artisan Teas: You will explore a wide range of teas with our tea master, who will explain the unique flavors, characteristics, origins, and crafting process of our premium artisan collection.
  • Introduction to Teaware: Learn about the uses and selection of various tea utensils. You will explore items such as gaiwans, Yixing clay teapots, and Gongfu tea sets, and cover essential teaware care and usage tips.
  • Hands-On Experience: Move from theory to practice in this immersive session. Under our tea master’s guidance, you will learn to brew different teas, understanding the science behind the flavors. Then, put your learning into action: you’ll brew tea yourself using a gaiwan, tasting the nuanced layers of each variety.
