Our true Anxi Iron Goddess Tieguanyin is made with modern Light Qing Xiang style which tends to have a more flowery and rich aroma compared with the thicker texture of traditional tea. The more modern light Tie Guan Yin (Qing Xiang 清香型) borrows the Taiwanese approach of cold room withering and lower oxidation. Its sweet and floral aftertaste lingers even with a small sip.

About
Anxi Tieguanyin | 安溪鐵觀音
300 years ago, a farmer named Wei Yin was walking pass a temple of Guan Yin, a Goddess of compassion and mercy, and saw that the temple was falling apart and needed some love and attention. So the farmer cleaned the temple and renovated it, and as a gift, Guan Yin came into his dream and instructed him on where he could find a very special tea plant. Around 1700s, Emperor Qian Long was a very prominent historical figure in Chinese history, and he was a great lover of teas. He fell in love with Tieguanyin and brought this tea into prominence.
Our true Anxi Iron Goddess is made with modern Light Qing Xiang style which tends to have a more flowery and rich aroma compared with the thicker texture of traditional tea. Traditional Tie Guan Yin (Chuan Tong 傳統型) is oxidised more and at room temperature, whereas the more modern light Tie Guan Yin (Qing Xiang 清香型) borrows the Taiwanese approach of cold room withering and lower oxidation. Its sweet and floral aftertaste lingers even with a small sip.
