About

Aged Tangerine Puerh | 小青柑陳皮普洱

Crafted with high-grade Yunnan royal ripe puerh and five-year-aged tangerine peel from Meijiang, Xinhui, this Aged Tangerine Puerh (Xiao Qing Gan) brings citrus brightness and woody depth into perfect balance. Young-bud ripe puerh delivers a naturally sweet, mellow body with low astringency, while authentically aged Xinhui tangerine peel contributes lifted aromatics of candied citrus, dried herbs, and gentle spice.

Each small green tangerine is harvested before full ripeness, the fruit carefully separated and the shell sun-dried, then filled with royal ripe puerh and aged together. During maturation, the tea absorbs the peel’s essential oils and volatile compounds, yielding a smooth, round liquor with notes of orange zest, jujube, cedar, and a comforting, lingering sweetness. Sourced from premium raw materials, this blend showcases the best of both components—citrus perfume and puerh depth—making it a restorative after-meal cup and an inviting daily drink.

Aged tangerine peel from Meijiang, Xinhui, Guangdong, is renowned for its high quality and traditional use. It has a high medicinal value and has a soothing effect on the respiratory tract and helps to relieve flatulence. While Yunnan royal puerh is a high grade ripe puerh tea, mainly made from young tea buds, which gives a sweet and mellow flavor. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), tangerine peel is considered cooling in character and pairs naturally with the warm, soothing profile of ripe puerh—a complementary balance, bringing their own health benefits and characteristic flavors into full play.
